An economy only works if what people earn is real. So in HearthenVale, nothing that affects production, prices or trade is ever sold for real money.

Free to download

The whole game, every profession and every capital, is free to play.

Coins are earned, never bought

There's no premium currency that turns into Coins or goods, and stamina is never for sale.

Cosmetics only

What's for sale is decoration: home decorations, plot themes, emotes and nameplate styles.

No loot boxes

Every purchase shows exactly what you get, before you buy it.

Clothes come from Tailors

Clothing and appearance changes are never sold for real money. They come only from Tailors and Stylists, so those trades always have a real market.

The Hearth Pass is optional

A monthly pass with cosmetic rewards and conveniences that don't touch the economy, like extra outfit slots and plot layout presets.

Being yourself is always free. Body shape and skin tone can be changed at any time in settings at no cost. And your first visit to a Stylist after you start is on the house.

Safety

  • Chat is filtered for profanity and personal information.
  • You can report or block any player, and any message.
  • Player names and city names are checked before they go live.
  • Moderators can mute, ban, freeze trading and roll back a specific trade.
  • Raids against the same city are rate-limited, harassment by Soldiers can be reported, and goods lost to an exploit can be restored.
  • Trading Coins or items for real money is against the rules, and trade patterns are monitored for it.

New accounts start gently. Trading limits apply for the first 72 hours, and raiders leave players alone for their first seven days.

  • Sign in with Apple, and we collect only what it provides.
  • Delete your account from inside the app at any time.
  • App Store privacy labels are kept up to date.

Accessibility

  • Dynamic Type on every menu screen.
  • VoiceOver labels on controls.
  • Item quality colours are colour-blind safe, and every grade also shows pips.
